The South Pacific island nation of Tonga felt the full force of the 15 January undersea volcanic eruption and subsequent tsunami.
The Salvation Army has been working in Tonga for more than 30 years. It is part of the New Zealand Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our people there; Our prayers are also with those responding to this emergency and the various communities affected.
The Australia Territory is accepting donations to help in the immediate relief effort and ongoing recovery.
