Christmas should be a time of excitement and joy.

But right across Australia, the most vulnerable among us are living in fear they may lose their homes.
DONATE NOW

According to our latest research, 1 in 3 Australians are worried about losing their home and becoming homeless.

Australian families like Karina’s* experienced this terrifying fear.

Her partner lost his job just before Christmas and they didn’t know what they were going to do. Karina told us …

“Jeff came home from work and told me they were laying people off. I never thought he’d be one of them, but he was. We had rent piling up, car payments, bills. I was panicking”

…For a parent, there is not any other fear like it.

Thanks to incredibly kind-hearted people like you, Karina and her family found the hope and practical support they needed.

“A friend of mine said, ‘Go and see The Salvation Army. You need them’. So, I went and explained my situation, and they were fantastic! They asked me what support I needed, which was mainly food. But they also helped with bills and rent and financial advice. And it was so good to just sit down and have a chat with them.”

As Christmas approaches, we need kind hearts like you so we can be there for more families like Karina’s when they need us.

Please send your life-changing gift now and make a new beginning possible for families living in fear of homelessness.
