Host a fundraiser

If you've been looking for a way to share the Christmas spirit with your family, friends, colleagues, church or sporting club, here it is!

Host a Christmas fundraiser and celebrate the season while raising vital funds for individuals and families in need.

Every Christmas, The Salvation Army provides around 160,000 meals and over 64,000 hampers and vouchers to individuals and families in need.

Your fundraising efforts will help bring joy to those facing financial challenges, lonelyness or isolation this Christmas.

Fundraising ideas

Host a morning tea at your workplace, church, school or club. Go with a Christmas theme and serve shortbread, candy canes and gingerbread. Don't forget to ask your employer to match your donations!

Set up a collection at your Christmas party. Ask guests to make a donation upon entry to your event, or you could donate a part of ticket sales.

Do you own a business? Donate a percentage of the sale of your products/services to The Salvation Army's Christmas Appeal.

Feeling really generous? Give up one or more of your Christmas presents this year and ask your loved ones to make a donation to The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal in your honour.

Whatever you end up doing, you'll be raising funds to support vulnerable Australians this Christmas.

Donating your collected funds

To return the funds you have collected you can set up an online fundraising page to collect donations or you can deposit any cash collected at your nearest Westpac Branch.
