After School Club Grows

15 March 2011

Three weeks ago the Campsie Corps opened an After School Club to assist children years K-6 from the community with their homework and to offer them extra help in math and reading.  Throughout the first few weeks the Club has grown from 16 children to over 50 children attending every day.  The response from the community has been almost overwhelming and has provided us with an amazing opportunity to assist our community and witness to them at the same time.  Every Friday the After School Club has been able to use their time to teach the children Sunday School based lesson and activities which has already spread to other parts of the Corps.  The SAGALA program has already seen any where from 8-10 new children thus far and is continuing to grow each week.  The Corps itself has seen two new families continually coming on a Sunday morning for worship and Sunday School as well. The After School Club runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
