A Knight's Tale

18 October 2010

A KNIGHT'S TALE North NSW Kid's Camp has been and gone -  Read how it went.

Sir Hector and his faithful squire have been searching the land for a king worthy of their allegiance and servitude. They have travelled far and wide, asking many noblemen and lords if they know of the one true king whom they can follow. Last week they enlisted the help of some amazingly creative peasants from the North NSW Division to join them on their noble quest to seek the greatest king of all. Along they way they met Magi from the eat who found a baby destined to be the one true king, they found men who had been miraculously healed of blindness and even fishermen who were elevated to be the closest followers of this king.

And finally, they found King Jesus, the greatest and only true King of all, and 23 children stood with Sir Hector and pledged their allegiance to follow King Jesus as his Knights.

They even learnt the knights creed; "What does your God require of you? To love mercy, and to act justly, and to walk humbly with your God." [Micah 6:8].

It was an amazing camp and even more amazingly there were i injuries or accidents and everyone came away with a new love for Jesus and His kingdom.  Well done guys for setting such a good example to all the other kids of how to act justly and show mercy and walk humbly at camp this year.  This is the behaviour of a true Knight of the King.
