QPAS Nano - EQUIP Kids South Qld 2014 is just around the corner and will be on the 3rd - 6th October @ Camp Mudjimba, Sunshine Coast.
This camp will be a time for kids, junior leaders and leaders to come together for encouragement, ministry training, activities, sports and discipleship. Our aim is to teach, train and equip kids for ministry and to release them in their gifting and calling.
The cost of camp will be $160 and this will cover the cost of accommodation, food, resources, camp shirt and all activities for camp. We have a huge line up of electives including Worship, Brass, Timbrels, Drama, Sports Ministry, Preaching, Social Justice, Percussion, Dance, Vocal, Video Tech, Hospitality and Visual Arts.
Corps Leaders - It will be your Corps responsibility for sending leaders along with their kids to help with supervision and to ensure a safe space for the camp (just like kids camp in previous years). They will need to provide enough leaders to cover the Safe Salvo/Caring for Kids requirements. Please note that it is preferred that you don’t rely on Junior Leaders to make up the ratio requirements as they will have their own leadership development training throughout the weekend. There will also be Leadership Development Workshops - These will be run at the same time as the electives and will be for the corps leaders who are on camp. This training will involve behaviour management, discipleship, safe salvo aspects and more.
Junior Leadership Elective (ages 13 – 17) - If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 and are involved in any area leadership (not just kids ministry) at your corps then this camp is for you too!!! As part of our focus to help raise young emerging leaders, we will be offering a junior leadership stream at QPAS Nano which will include leadership development training as well as practical hands on training by assisting the elective leaders for 2 or 3 sessions over the weekend. Each junior leader will also be partnered with a staff member to journey with them for the weekend to mentor and coach them in leadership. Please note there are limited spots for this elective so get your forms in fast!!!
