Advent & Christmas 2025

30 November 2025 - 25 December 2025

Camberwell Salvos invites you, your family, friends and neighbours to celebrate the Hope of Christmas.

Throughout December we'll be exploring how Jesus broke into the world in the form of a tiny baby who is unlike any other.

Our 2025 Advent & December services are listed below.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30

10am / No Ordinary Name

The names of Jesus reveal that he is God's Son, sent to save us - the rightful Lord of all.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7

10am / No Ordinary Tribe

Whatever earthly family we are born into, we can all be children of God.

The morning worship service led by the youngest members of our church family.

There will be opportunity for people to donate a pre-purchased gift card and to hang it on the Christmas tree. By donating a gift card instead of traditional toys, it means a parent or guardian can still share in the unique joy of buying a gift for their child or family member this Christmas. God bless you as you consider your giving this Christmas.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14

10am / No Ordinary Promise

In a world that often forgets its promises, we look to a God who never forgets His.

Join us as we explore how every promise of God finds its "Yes" in Jesus - the light who shines into our darkness, the hope that comes in His perfect time, and the assurance that His Word still speaks today.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21

10am / No Ordinary King

The rule of Jesus demands a response.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21

5pm / Stroll to the Star

Join us in walking through the events leading up to the birth of Christ. Camberwell Salvos youth will be presenting the story in a series of scenes placed around our church building.

Commencement point: rear car park - you'll be guided through the Christmas story on the day.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21

6pm / Carol Service: Are We There Yet?

Journeying to any destination takes time. Even if we are all heading to the same place we come from different places. Even if we don't say it out loud, we might wonder how long until we get there. The story of Christmas is made up of lots of journeys, including our own.

Hear a message of hope and enjoy singing lots of Christmas carols with our musicians.

A freewill offering will be taken during the carol service to support The Salvation Army's Christmas Appeal.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25

10am / Christmas Day Service: No Ordinary Day

The day of Jesus' birth was no ordinary day. It changed our world forever.

Children attending are welcome to bring along one gift they have received from Santa to 'Show and Tell'.

The Christmas Day offering will be directed to The Salvation Army's International Development (SAID) Sowing Hope in Rwanda.

People are welcome to give now via the SAID website or during the Christmas Day service.

Thank you for your generosity.

We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating together.
