Organise a financial literacy workshop

You’re the Boss is an award winning financial capability program developed by The Salvation Army to empower and equip people to be the boss of their financial situation.

Our trained and experienced facilitators will customise a workshop to suit you. We focus on what people can do in their circumstances, with a view to improving their overall wellbeing and financial future.

We can create a workshop with topics most relevant for your group, including:

  • Creating new money habits
  • Paying bills on time
  • Sorting paperwork
  • Shopping smart
  • Having family conversations about money

All participants are given a You're the Boss booklet which makes for a great take home toolkit.

It works!

A recent formal evaluation of You’re the Boss showed that our program works! 87.5% of respondents indicated that they have been able to apply what they learned to their own situation, and longer term follow-up highlighted changed behaviour, such as new spending habits and increased savings.

We know it’s about more than the money. Addressing people’s money situation can lead to a more fulfilling and less stressful life – one with money in its rightful place.

Let’s do it!

To book a workshop, get in touch with our Moneycare team by filling in the form below to discuss cost, timings and arrangement of resources.

The Salvation Army has also developed an app as part of the You're the Boss program. The app is free and provides financial tips, information and other resources. Search your phone's app store to download.
