Youth support networks and programs

Our youth networks and programs provide disconnected and disadvantaged young people, who may be experiencing homelessness, pathways towards independence through:

  • Education and training
  • Accommodation and material aid
  • Counselling and wellbeing programs
  • Safe places and support to build a future

Our qualified and experienced staff work in a collaborative partnership with young people to create tailored programs* that meet their needs.

Across the country we offer:

  • Crisis and transitional accommodation
  • Accredited vocational training
  • Drug and alcohol support
  • Counselling
  • Family mediation
  • Special assistance schools and educational support
  • Drop-in facilities
  • Chaplaincy and advocacy support
  • Social skills and life skills
  • Creative arts and multimedia
  • Legal services and support

*Please be aware than not all services may be provided at every centre.

Our support framework and approach

We operate within a Trauma Informed Care therapeutic framework to help young people achieve their goals. We believe that each person is the decision maker for their own life.

We emphasise safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment in every interaction. When these elements are present, we believe that young people can make positive choices and reach their potential.

We welcome all people, regardless of race, gender, status, or sexual orientation. We understand that a safe space for growth is created when people feel believed in, valued, listened to and respected.

Some of the networks, programs and services we offer to support young people around Australia include:

  • Oasis Youth Support Network
  • Reconnect
  • Youthlink
  • Youth Outreach Service (YOS)
  • Arcadia
  • Bridge Program
  • Family Reconciliation Initiative
  • Leaving Care
  • Transition to Independence Unit (T21)
