Northern Victoria Alcohol and Other Drugs Services(NVAODS) is a network of programs and related services which aim to support complex clients experiencing a range of issues with Alcohol and other Drugs.

Families at Risk AOD Reunification Program

For parents who must meet court issued conditions

The objective of this initiative is to enable parents who are required to undergo AOD treatment as part of their children’s family reunification order (FRO) to access timely treatment, to maximise their chances of reuniting with their children in the time frame of the FRO. Person-centred care and coordination activities that focus on assessment, counselling and care, education and recovery support.

Overdose Prevention Case Management Service

For people engaged with specialist AOD treatment with a high risk of overdose and who are not already receiving Care and Recovery Coordination

The objective of the Risk of Overdose Initiative is to expand support for clients at risk of an overdose before, during and after their engagement with specialist AOD treatment. The initiative takes a person-centred, risk-based approach, proactively identifying, reducing and managing their clients’ risk of overdose.

Counselling, Care & Recovery & Non-Residential Withdrawal Services

A consortium of Goulburn Valley Health (Lead), SalvoCare | Northern Victoria & Odyssey House Victoria offering Counselling, Care & Recovery & Non-Residential Withdrawal Services for people 16 and over who reside in the Goulburn Valley & Lower Hume Regions. GVADS also have an Emergency Department with rapid assessment and pathways into the Community based A&D services.

Geographical Area: GVADS caters for people in Shire of Moira, City of Greater Shepparton, Shire of Strathbogie, Shire of Mitchell and the Shire of Murrindindi.
