Welcome to the Songbook Assistant on the Web.
To Select Songs or Tunes
Either double click the name of the song (top) or tune (bottom) with the mouse or type the number in the number box and press enter. It should then list the song or tune meter, number and name.
To Match Songs with Tunes or Tunes with Songs
To find all Tune Matches for a particular Song, firstly select the appropriate Song. Then press the "Find Tunes" button. It will then list all the Tunes recommended by the Songbook, then if applicable will list all other Tunes with the same meter. You may still need to check the Tune in the Tunebook to make sure it is familiar and that the words do fit properly, just matching the meter is not always accurate.
To find all Songs that match a particular Tune, you need to select the Tune and then press the "Find Songs" button. All matches will then be displayed but as above, you may still need to check the Songbook with the Tunebook to be sure.
To Search for Authors or Words in a Song
Type what you are looking for in the text box in the top right hand corner and then press the "Find Author" or "Find Words" button.
To Search for Composers
Type the Composer's name in the text box next to the "Find Composer" button and then press the "Find Composer" button.
