SPECIFICATION OF CATERING TRUCKS

The SAES has 2 catering trucks. Both trucks have similar specifications.

Funding was provided by way of an Emergency Management Australia (EMA) grant under the National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund and our major sponsor SGIC.

  • 12 Tonne truck fitted out as a mobile kitchen

  • All stainless steel interior

  • Has Department of Human Services certification (NEG/740/F)

  • Industrial oven, gas rings, hot plate and two deep fryers

  • Large freezer

  • External floodlighting

  • Diesel Generators

  • Commercial & domestic refrigerators

  • Two large Baine Marie’s

  • Self serve hot and cold drink ‘station’

  • GPS with street level mapping

  • UHF CB

  • GRN (Government Radio Network)

  • Pressurised hot and cold water system

  • 500 litre fresh water tank

  • Waste water tank

  • 1000 meals on-board at all times

  • Staffed by personnel who hold National Accreditation in Food Handling Preparation
