Legal services
We believe that no one should be without a trusted legal advisor in their time of need. That’s why Salvos Legal Humanitarian provides free legal advice to people who are unable to access legal assistance.
How to access free advice
You can access free legal advice by visiting one of our Advice Bureaus in New South Wales, Victoria or Queensland.
We provide one-off advice, limited assistance or full representation, subject to our Means and Merits test, in circumstances where disadvantaged individuals are facing social injustice.
People in Queensland who are seeking asylum can also access free legal services through our Asylum Seeker Clinic.
Telephone advice
We offer free legal advice by telephone to clients in rural or regional areas or who are unable to attend our advice bureaus due to disability, age or incarceration. Calls are by appointment only. To arrange a time to speak with one of our representatives, call (02) 8202 1500.
