Volunteering opportunities are available in the following programs:
Mobile Outreach: Homeless men and women of the city of Melbourne are greeted each night by Melbourne Project 614 workers and volunteers and provided with food and hot beverages at many locations throughout the CBD.
AXA/AMP 614 Youth Bus: A safe place for Melbourne's homeless and marginalised youth. A fully refurbished motorcoach parks on Flinders Street every weeknight equipped with a kitchenette, computers, Xbox gaming consoles, a DJ booth, chill out areas and private counseling area.
The Vault: Purpose-built to engage youth in recreational, social and learning activities during the day.
Youth Street Teams: Involves 25 volunteers over the age of 18, who head out in the city, both on foot and in vehicles, every Friday and Saturday night from 11pm until 5am and connect with vulnerable and intoxicated young people.
614 Marketplace: The provision of food and daily necessities to those who have nothing to what most people consider to be essential.
Hamodava Cafe: A welcoming community centre providing breakfast and lunch, as well as support to people from all walks of life, especially those living on the margins of society.
Hamodava Coffee Van: A mobile coffee van, working as a social enterprise at various locations around the CBD. The coffee vans profits going directly to support Melbourne 614's programs.
The International Couch: Held each afternoon in the Hamodava Cafe, The Couch links international students to support services, information and the opportunity to socialise with like-minded individuals.
Order 614: An urban mission gap year program for young people seeking opportunities to become urban missionaries.
The Learning Centre: Provides opportunities for the homeless and marginalised to build capacity and increase their skills through fully accredited vocational training programs.
