Order 614 is an Urban Mission Training program for those who wish to live out God's work while being equipped as a disciple of Jesus.
Becoming a member of order614 means you will be given orientation, followed by continued teaching and training in practical application of urban mission.You will be training amongst people in communities characterised by drug and alcohol abuse, mental illness, refugees, homelessness, domestic violence and socially isolated people. The training will support your work amongst these people and equip and motivate you in the task.
Training and assessment is conducted in practical ways through assisting the marginalised community, mentoring, coaching and classroom time. When you finish the one year order614 training course you will receive an Accredited Certificate IV in Christian Ministry (Urban Mission). You may be eligible for Youth Allowance/Austudy.
Some of the units of teaching offered in the course include Crisis Support, Missional Leadership, Understanding Addiction, Trauma and Critical Incident Counselling, Christian Communication.
