This Week for Youth Group: Check out the Flyer, we’re going to Timezone!

News for 11/10/06

Below is a video of John dunking. He may or may not have made me put this up. He also may or may not be holding me hostage, so you may or may not want to call the police.

It has sound. So put your mouse over it to see it. And it's also big, so those still in dial-up country may have to wait a while to see it. You're not missing much.

And once again, apologies for not getting Switching On up on time. This one's been tough to write, and other distractions have just made it tougher.

In less apologetic news, I am considering doing a redesign of the site. Why, you ask? Well, Loz did such a wonderful job of the Youth Group term four flyer that I'd feel bad just putting a file here for you to look at, so I'll incorporate elements of that into a new site design.

Switching On (which was skipped last week without notice. Many apologies) will be delayed. Maybe late Thursday, maybe Friday. (Maybe a week)

News for 6/9/06

And we're back. Sorry about the extended downtime, but there were unexpected delays with the server update. To make it up to you, there are some new pictures. Yay! Pictures!

News for 15/8/06

Territorial IT Services are updating their servers and their method of FTP storage. Unfortunately, this means that I (and every other webmaster in the territory) will not be able to update the page until the 28th of August, at the earliest. Therefore, everything is on hold until then: you won’t be missing episodes of Switching On, photos will be taken as normal, but won’t be displayed, and the coming events and the “This Week for Youth Group” section above won’t be updated. In the mean time, I’ll work on figuring out the easiest way to get the Alpha presentations up here.

News for 9/8/06

Exciting news concerning Switching On! If you don't usually read it, it might be worth it this week!

Also, the stuffed spud lunch has been added to the current events section. And if you missed the rock-climbing pictures, they're up as well.

News for 19/7/06

Check out the new Coming events!

News for 13/7/06

Apologies for there being no episode of Switching on yesterday, but I haven’t been well. Hopefully it will be written and up on Friday.

News for 5/7/06

Minor changes. Slight main page change (which you've already seen) and a change on the sidebar (which you'll now go and check).

I'm also looking to expand the scope of the coming events page, particularly to include the Fiji fundraising events. To do so, I'll need someone to fill me in the details.

Oh, and the next episode of Switching on is up as well.

News for 28/6/06

Wholesale graphics change! New colour scheme, new title graphic (Give it up for Helen!), improved the functionality of the pictures section, and the second episode of Switching on!

News for 21/6/06

The pictures and resource section should now be working. Pictures are filed under content.

While also looking at content, check out my new column, and tell me what you think!

News for 14/6/06

Yes, this is the new, improved website for The Salvation Army Floreat's youth. So new that if it were a house, it wouldn't have been painted yet. Or the roof built. Or half the walls, for that matter.

So while this site is bare at the moment, it doesn't have to stay that way. We want this site to be something you'd visit on a regular basis, either to check out what we're doing for youth group this week, or to see what new thing we've dreamt up for the site. That YOU'VE dreamt up for the site.

So, you have an opportunity to build the site, figuratively speaking. Think what you'd want this site to have, this site to be, and then drop me a line. And then, just maybe, it'll happen.

Until then, I'll keep adding small things. Perhaps a background picture. Better links on the sidebar over there. Actually get some pictures up on this thing. And I'll keep feverishly dreaming content for what this site may end up being.
