Salvos ask Australia to ‘Include a Charity’ in their Will

‘Live on’ is the message from Include a Charity. The Salvos are joining more than 100 Australian charities to encourage people to consider ‘including a charity’ when preparing or updating their next Will.

The ‘live on’ message emphasises the opportunity for people to create lasting change for disadvantaged and marginalised Australians for generations to come by leaving a gift in their Will.

While many Australians support a charity, only 29% of people currently consider making a charitable bequest. Just 7.5% of people actually do.

The Salvation Army has been assisting Australians in need for 125 years. Through a broad range of services, the Salvos extend care to over one million people each year. Many of these services are made possible because of the generous bequests of supporters.
