Salvos' School Challenge

SSC Logo 2013
The Salvos' School Challenge (SSC) empowers students to support the vital work of The Salvation Army through fundraising for the Red Shield Appeal.

Students can take part in the annual Red Shield Appeal by doorknocking for two to three hours in their local area. This is an excellent opportunity for students to interact with members of the local community and it's heaps of fun! Students can also choose to plan, organise and stage their own unique fundraising event. Groups are encouraged to be as creative as possible.

One of the most popular activities has been a 'Red Dress Day', like a casual clothes day but where students choose to wear red clothes. Other ideas have included a crazy hair day, a red and white doughnut drive, an op-shop day and many other fantastic activities.

Every single day The Salvation Army helps thousands of people affected by domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness, tragedy and crisis.

The funds raised through the Red Shield Appeal enable The Salvation Army to be there for people in need each and every day. Whether assisting people devastated by natural disasters, handing out a blanket and warm food to someone living on the streets, or helping someone transform their life, the Salvos will be there.
