Families in need recieve a boost from a2 milk ™

The Salvation Army has received a major boost to its family support and emergency relief efforts with the generous donation of a2™ Platinum® infant formual.a2 Milk | Coporate Sponsors | The Salvaiton Army

The Salvation Army is grateful for the donation that will be made available through its community support centres where emergency relief and material aid is provided each day to families and individuals in crisis. This generous donation will assist the numerous parents with infants who come to the Salvos unable to afford the basic necessities. Our most recent research tells us that one in four people coming to our community support centres are unable to afford even one substantial meal a day. Taking away the struggle and stress of feeding an infant will have a significant impact on the daily lives of so many in need.

Salvation Army spokesperson Major Wayne Pittaway said this donation will go a long way in helping families. “When you’re facing a crisis, the burden of not being able to feed your infant can affect many other areas of life including self-esteem, dignity and mental health. We’re so grateful for this donation,” he said.

The a2 Milk Company™ is earnest about making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, “The a2 Milk Company™ is proud to be supporting The Salvation Army and helping Australian families.” said The a2 Milk Company’s CEO (ANZ), Peter Nathan.

*The a2 Milk Company™ supports the protection and promotion of breastfeeding as the unequivocal way to feed an infant, providing the optimal balance of nutrition and protection during infant growth and development. However, depending on individual circumstances, exclusively breastfeeding may not always be possible at various stage of an infant’s development. If breastfeeding is not possible and you have an infant to feed, this can trigger additional stress.
