We seek an energetic professional with a passion for working with homeless adults (18-35 years) and committed to providing innovative, flexible and accountable service. New graduates welcome.
Adult Services is a large social programme network within The Salvation Army and provides a broad integrated range of services to the some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged adults experiencing homelessness in Melbourne’s Central, Northern and Western metropolitan areas.
To ensure access for clients to relevant services and advocate as appropriate with housing, legal issues, income security, health issues, drug and alcohol problems specialized counseling and psychiatric issues
- To offer appropriate support to a caseload of 10-12 clients within a Case Management framework, including referral and assessment, relationship building, establishment of community support and the development of Case Plans
- To provide “hands on” practical support to clients to enhance living skills, budgeting skills and household establishment/management
Hours of work
- Monday to Friday
- Access to a monthly RDO
- The position will be remunerated at the SCHCADS Award, Social Stream level 5 (Pay point determined on experience)

Tertiary qualification in social work or a related qualification is considered desirable
Adult Services provides and values professional development, quality supervision and best practice within the sector. A strong framework of development such as performance plans and reviews, supervision, team meetings, internal and external training opportunities and a study leave policy are provided.
