General Eva Burrows portrait unveiling

2 April 2012

On Tuesday, 27 March 2012, a portrait of Former Salvation Army General Eva Burrows was unveiled at The Salvation Army Melbourne Corps at 69 Bourke Street.

General Eva Burrows was the second female General and is still the youngest appointed General in The Salvation Army's history. She served as General from 1986-1993. Her crucial work as General notably includes reestablishing The Salvation Army in Eastern European Countries such as East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Russia.
