The Salvation Army has a number of opportunities for students and communities to get involved in community service and education activities.
Our workshops and appeals challenge students to feel empowered about making a difference to the lives of those less fortunate.
In Western Australia, schools have the ability engage directly with staff and clients of The Salvation Army which allows them to gain a greater understanding of issues facing thousands of Australians every day.

The Salvation Army's Beyond The Classroom school education program is proudly supported by Bendigo Bank.
The program is offered to all schools across Western Australia, educating students about social welfare issues in the Australian community and encouraging them to be involved. Over the past twelve months the Beyond The Classroom program connected with over 4,000 primary and secondary students in Western Australia and as a result, 50 schools raised over $34,000 for The Red Shield Appeal. Together, Bendigo Bank and The Salvation army are focused on delivering an education program that encourages students to be active in supporting their local communities.
