Residential Youth Services

'Supporting people to achieve self-reliance'

SalvoCare Residential Youth Services are funded by the Department of Human Services and are targeted exclusively to young people within the Child Protection or Juvenile Justice programs.

Bayside Youth Hostel

Bayside Youth Hostel provides twenty-four hour supervised short term accommodation for young people aged 12 up to 18 years who have multiple complex issues and are unable to reside with their families and who are awaiting suitable long-term options. All young people are involved with DHS Child Protection or DHS Juvenile Justice. A professional team of residential youth workers provides intensive support to assist young people address their needs and/or reconcile with their families where appropriate.

Towerhill Unit

Towerhill is a medium to long-term unit which provides twenty-four hour supervised accommodation for young people aged from 12 up to 18 years who are unable to reside with their families and who have multiple complex issues and are subject to statutory involvement with either DHS Child Protection or DHS Juvenile Justice. Professional residential youth workers provide intensive support and case management with a care team approach to assist young people to establish suitable long-term options.

Two to One Program

The Two to One program provides long-term, twenty-four hour supervised accommodation for young people who are aged between 12 and 18 years who are unable to reside with their families and are subject to statutory intervention. Professional residential youth workers provide intensive support and case management to assist young people to clarify their goals and work with the relevant services to establish suitable long term options.
