Education Support and Transition Program

Westcare's Education Support and Transition Program is a comprehensive and integrated outreach service designed to respond to the needs ot children and young people (aged between five and 18) who are living within a Westcare out-of-home placement and are not attending school or are at risk of leaving school. The program has an emphasis on prevention and early intervention strategies.

Westcare's Education Support Worker has substantial experience in the delivery of student and youth services as well as experience with working with schools in the western region of Victoria. The Education Support Worker works as part of a broader care team, engaging with youth workers, case managers and carers to develop and maintain effective ways to keep children and young people within educational programs.
