About Us

Who Are We?

Berwick Salvation Army has been a culturally diverse Corps for over 5 years, with specific and unique contact with the Eastern African cultures, specifically South Sudanese.

Berwick, is one of several Melbourne suburbs that have seen the greatest increase in crime over the past 12 months and problems continue to grow with the ready access to ICE and other drugs. It is due to this noticable increase in drug related issues within the community, that the START concept was born.

The START Community aims to address the need to reach out and be a force for recovery and reclamation, for people of all backgrounds.
