The Salvation Army has a rich history of music and is recognised worldwide for its brass bands and choirs whose aim is to proclaim the Christian message through music. As well as this we also offer music lessons and opportunities to children who would not necessarily be able to learn an instrument. Music is a wonderful way to help children develop their skills.
The Ringwood Salvation Army Band consists of 30 men and women who give their time and musical ability to support the ministry and mission of the Ringwood Corps of the Salvation Army. The band is exclusively brass and percussion, following in the British Band tradition. The band rehearses and assists in morning worship each Sunday at the Ringwood Corps. Each year the band is involved in a number of concerts, including and annual fund-raising concert for the Cancer Council, Victoria.
