The Hamodava Cafe, named in tribute of the world’s very first fair trade venture pioneered by The Salvation Army – Hamodava Tea – is a welcoming community centre providing breakfast and lunch, as well as support to people from all walks of life, especially those living on the margins of society.
As well as being a place where you can get some of the best coffee in Melbourne, Hamodava Cafe’s primary purpose is about building relationships. Melbourne Project 614 offers a number of services to people including crisis support and intervention, information and practical assistance and importantly, ongoing support for people in crisis. The Hamodava Cafe operates from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
