ACCESS HEALTH PROGRAM

Access Health provides accessible, responsive primary health care which enhances the health and well-being of people who use this service. Our services are flexible, free of cost, and generally do not require an appointment.

Access Health works in partnership with other health and support services to provide:

  • general practice
  • community health nursing
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health programs
  • alcohol and other drug counselling and referral
  • health promotion groups
  • psychology
  • case management and outreach support
  • hepatitis treatment and advice
  • psychiatry
  • sexual health nursing
  • access to dental appointments
  • physiotherapy
  • podiatry
  • dietetics
  • shower facilities

The Needle and Syringe Program is a free, confidential and anonymous service providing safe injecting equipment and safe sex products such as needles, syringes, swabs, condoms and disposal containers.

The program provides drug, health and other related information and referral. Educational material on blood borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections is also available.

Access Health is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm at 31 Grey Street St Kilda 3182
The Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) is open 24/7 every day of the year at 29 Grey Street St Kilda 3182
