LaMP

LaMP - Leadership and Management Program

LaMP is a development program for leaders in the Salvation Army. It is built around the attributes and competencies within The Salvation Army Capability Framework.

Those who manage, lead or influence others – regardless of their specific role title – are critical to the success of The Salvation Army. They provide a link between strategy and the frontline mission of the organisation. If we are to have an effective and productive workforce, and achieve our strategic and operational goals, it is essential that our managers/officers develop and maintain strong capability to meet their role responsibilities and expectations.

LaMP is tailored to the needs of specific settings through the use of training needs analysis tools and processes, but is also flexible enough to enable local and individual needs to be identified so that appropriate development activities can be put into place.

LaMP has been developed by Catherine Booth College’s School for Learning & Development and is currently being piloted in the Tasmania Division, with the intention of gradually implementing across all divisions and networks.
