Alpha 1

Vision 4

In 2005 the then Ballarat Corps and Ballarat Family Support Services came together in the facility at Eureka Street. The hope was that the disconnection between the worshipping and social aspects of The Salvation Army could be reversed, and over the years that has definitely happened. In 2008 we became The Salvation Army Ballarat Community Church as an acknowledgement that we had become one expression of The Salvation Army with the exciting ministry of meeting the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of the Ballarat community.

Majors Andrew Van Gaalen and Jeanette Van Gaalen are the officer team for the Ballarat Community Church and Support Services. They have the fantastic support of their incredible staff, along with an amazing group of leaders and volunteers. Every week we engage with the community through food assistance, counselling, budget education, op shops, a men’s shed, coffee talk, CAMEO, small groups, and worship services.
