The Salvation Army Greenwith began in August 1994 using the kindergarten near Greenwith Primary School and later, the library at the school.  Peter and Heather Ellis were the first ministers - a brand new church in a brand new suburb.

New leaders, Jeff and Christine Waller commenced in 1999 leading the church into some exciting years.  In 2001 the church moved into new buildings on Golden Grove Rd. and shortly after also opened a thrift shop.

Then, in January 2004, Mal and Tracey Davies arrived as our new ministers.

Cameron and Sue Wallace followed them in January 2006.

In March 2007, Ted Wright was appointed as the new minister.

In 2010 Quentin and Susanne Castle arrived at the Greenwith Salvos along with their family.
