In mid 2001 the Salvation Army in the Charles Sturt Council area combined to form the Arndale Worship and Community Centre. A former supermarket was purchased and a Family Support Service, Family Store, and District Nursing Centre joined with the church and community clubs to form an integrated centre.
This is an exciting ministry and being situated right next door to a major shopping centre and bus terminus means that there are any hundreds of people who come through our doors each week. We offer counselling and emergency relief, clubs for young through to old, a coffee shop, a range of music groups, basketball teams, small groups for Bible Study/fellowship, and worship on Sundays at 10.30am and 6.00pm.
Our Sunday morning congregation averages about 150 people with a range of ages and the worship style is a blend of traditional/contemporary. The night meeting is more relaxed and has a varied format. In each of our meetings there is a strong focus on Biblical preaching.
We want to make friends with newcomers so visitors are welcome to come along and be blessed.
Captain Lindsay and Major Jenni Frost serve as the corps officers giving leadership and oversight to all aspects of The Salvation Army Arndale's ministry.
