Bramwell House - South Australia
Bramwell House provides supported crisis accommodation for single women and women with children escaping domestic violence.
Most women will stay at Bramwell House until there is a vacancy at a Women's Shelter. This may range from several nights up to a fortnight. Other women will find alternative accommodation after Bramwell House such as living with friends, family or travelling interstate.

Bramwell House Background:
- Bramwell House is assisted with funds from the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP)
- It commenced in its present form and operation on the 26th March 2001.
- Bramwell House was originally opened as a women's shelter on March 31st 1977.
- There are several units, set in peaceful surroundings.

- Bramwell House will promote best practice in an effort to provide the highest quality of care and services to women and children escaping domestic violence.
- Bramwell House seeks to encourage active participation and input of all staff and volunteers and will value ideas and feedback as to the service's structure and direction.
- Bramwell House is committed to a process of continuous improvement and works in conjunction with existing women's services.

Bramwell House Aims:
- To become a major entry point for women and children escaping domestic violence by expanding and providing quality crisis accommodation.
- To offer safe, supported crisis accommodation to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
- To continue to provide and promote Bramwell Houses unique service as a model for crisis accommodation.
- To seek regular feedback from clients about the quality of our service.
