Just as the leaves vary in their autumn shades so there is a varied format in our Autumn series of Sunday meetings.
In these weeks of Lent, the morning meetings focus on the cost of discipleship, the acclamation of Christ as King, the last sermon of our Lord, and that euphoric moment of recognition by Mary Magdalene as she cried out, "Rabboni!" We then continue with the series on the book of Acts.
We have special visitors coming - Commissioners Wesley and Margaret Harris (R), an African Salvationist couple from Zimbabwe (now living in Melbourne), and our Divisional Leaders - Majors Dennis and Patricia Rowe.
We note that Mothers' Day falls on the same Sunday as Pentecost. The series concludes with the National Day of Thanksgiving which coincides with the Red Shield Appeal.
For the evening meetings we will continue with theme of "Communicating the Gospel" using historic methods - morse code, semaphore, drums, the Salvation Navy and the Flying Padre. There is to be an Academy Night on 18th May, and our Praise Band is travelling to Kapunda on 2nd March.
So, come along and be blessed!
