The Home Loan Shelter Appeal is a program which raises funds for The Salvation Army's homeless programs through the sale of home loans.

  • Any home loan can support Australia's homeless and The Salvation Army.
  • Fees & interest rates are NOT increased to cover donations.
  • You can choose from up to 2000 home loan products from 30 lenders including he major banks.
  • Up to 60% of the ongoing home loan sales commission, normally paid by the bank to the mortgage broker, is donated to The Salvation Army.
  • Home loans are available through participating mortgage brokers across Australia.

The Home Loan Shelter Appeal receives up to 60% of the ongoing home loan sales commission paid by the bank, for the life of the home loan^. This means that borrowers pay no additional fees or interest rates on their mortgage, while at the same time helping the work of The Salvation Army.

MYSHAREGROUPGIF.JPG^ On a conforming home loan referred by The Salvation Army, 60% of the ongoing trail commission paid by the Lender is donated to The Salvation Army, typically equal to 0.15% per annum of the outstanding loan balance, for the term of the loan. On home loans originated by a broker and designated for the Home Loan Shelter Appeal, 10% of the ongoing trail commission is donated to The Salvation Army. The Home Loan Shelter Appeal is operated by The Myshare Group, which has raised more than $600,000 for areas of need across Australia and internationally.
