State-wide Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs for Men and Women Over 18 Years of Age

The Salvation Army Bridge program offers a range of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services to men and women aged 18 years and over. The Bridge Program operates from a community reinforcement approach. This is a comprehensive intervention package for alcohol and other drug users, which is specifically tailored to the needs of the client. The community reinforcement approach focuses on multiple problem areas targeting social, recreational, familial and vocational reinforcement.

DAY PROGRAM

(Hobart, Launceston & Burnie)

An eight week day program for alcohol and other drug users in the community. It is designed to assist individuals gain the necessary skills to decrease the impact of alcohol or other dug use on their lives.

The program runs Monday – Friday and all participants are required to be free from intoxication and actively involved in all aspects of the program including group work and individual therapy.

Cost: $15.00

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

(Hobart only)

An eight week program conducted at the Hobart Bridge Centre, Creek Road new Town. Residents are required to remain free of illicit substances, alcohol and benzodiazepines for the entire program. Residents will participate in all aspects of the program including group work, work therapy, assignments, treatment planning and individual sessions.

Cost: $185.00 per week includes all meals and accommodation

AFTER CARE

(Hobart & Launceston)

After Care is a flexible program that is designed to provide ongoing care for people who have completed residential or day programs. It is offered for up to 12 months, encouraging independence and community reintegration.

There is no charge for this program

OUTREACH

(Hobart & Launceston)

The Outreach program is a highly confidential service for people with alcohol and other drug problems. Outreach support includes counselling, case management, relevant and practical information on harm minimisation strategies, support for families and referral to other services.

CHAPLAINCY

The Bridge Program Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to clients and family members.
