 our purpose

Our Purpose

To offer Life and Community in Jesus' name.

The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness (John 10:10)

Many of them believed his message and were baptized, and about three thousand people were added to the group that day.

The spent their time in learning from the apostles, taking part in the fellowship, and sharing in the fellowship meals and prayers. (Acts 2: 41 & 42)

Our VisionInnovation
An innovative, faith oriented church, with the courage to risk new ways of serving a changing culture.

Care
A church based on relationships rather than programs, and on home fellowship groups for worship, service, learning and pastoral care.

Evangelism
A Salvation Army Mission where evangelists and church planters are discovered, mentored and released for service in The Salvation Army and the wider Christian community.

Relevance
CaringA community centre featuring friendly, upbeat, informal worship, music and preaching that touches the heart of unchurched people. And Ministries that meet the needs of lost and sin sick people in our community.

Leadership
A corps of 100 active soldiers that is an example to others in its sense of mission, evangelism strategies, and loyalty to the Army ethos

 our values

CommunityWe are followers of Jesus and seek to reflect his values

We value:

People
We affirm the uniqueness, dignity, worth and capacity of each person because they are made in the image of God. (The Genesis creation story)

Integrity
We value personal wholeness shown in fairness, honesty, and responsibility. (Jesus said: 'Love others as well as you love yourself' Matthew 22:39)

Community
We welcome people, and offer hospitality, belonging, and participation. (Reach out and welcome one another to God's glory. Jesus did it; now you do it!' Romans 15:7)

Compassion
We seek to act out the Spirit of Jesus by supporting and helping those who are suffering or in need. (Jesus said to give a 'cup of cold water' in his name)

Hope
We offer God's reconciling and transforming power found in Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:16 to 21)
